There are many charities seeking to help children who are in need. Some (like NCH Action for children) have strong Christian roots and many churches choose to mark that work with special services and with fund-raising events. There is a need to raise awareness of such work, since it is constantly changing and developing.

Churches seek to serve children well, to safeguard them, to offer reliable help and to show Christian love and care. Work with children in the local church could be appreciated prayerfully, along with the often demanding and pressing work of children’s charities.
