Our Leeds Focus Group have organized two events so far for 2010.   Please put the dates in your diary,  and tell others about them,  asking for your prayers that each occasion will be greatly blessed.  Please let John Witt ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. LEEDS LUNCH

On Saturday 20th March you are very warmly invited to our traditional Leeds Lunch at the Trinity Methodist Church on Tempest Road in South Leeds.  The lunch is prepared by the very experienced team of Trinity,  who are prepared to do this at cost in gratitude for all the Local Preachers and Worship Leaders do on a Voluntary basis Sunday by Sunday as they lead so many of our congregations in Worship.  Our after-dinner speaker this year is Adrian Needham – the Executive Officer of LWPT at our LWPT Office just outside Rickmansworth.  He is the person who is involved in all aspects of running our charity,  and he works closely with the LWPT Trustees now to streamline our systems and to help LWPT evolve into the best way to help all Leaders of Worship in our modern day and age!  Donations towards the £7 cost are invited.

ORGAN RECITAL

On Saturday 12th June you are very warmly invited to a Summer Concert at Pateley Bridge in the form of an Organ Recital given by Dr. John Pemberton, director of organ music for the diocese of Lincoln.  He is ranked about 5th for organ music in the whole of the country!  This will be followed by a Service of Holy Communion, at which the preacher is Revd. Dr. Liz Smith, chair of the Leeds District,  followed by a high tea, after which Deacon Myrtle Poxon, our new LWPT Advocate in 2010, will address us.  Donations towards the £6 cost are invited.  This promises to be a wonderful occasion, where preachers and worship leaders are able to share in rich fellowship together.
