There was a whole new feel to the annual assembly for The Leaders of Worship and Preachers’ Trust in 2010. For a start, we went to the seaside.

The Assembly sought to respond to the wide and changing needs of all those who attended.

‘We combined the traditional needs of leaders of worship and Local Preachers with the role LWPT has in offering resources to help and inspire preachers of all ages,’ said LWPT Trustee, Angela Davis. ‘We wanted to support leaders of worship not only in their training but also when they’ve many years of experience.’

The keynote speaker in Budleigh Salterton was the Revd Dr Stephen Dawes from neighbouring Cornwall and lively worship was led by the Revds Steve Wild and Pete Pillinger. There were even options planned for those who want to make a holiday of it, including a walk along the world famous ‘Jurassic Coast’.
