Summer is here (!) and at Westcliff it has been a mixture of summer sun and soaking rain. We have welcomed Miss Eva Welby, who joined our ‘Westerley Family’ from Buckingham in May. She has soon settled in and is making new friends. In the last few months we have had some Community Sing-a-longs with all the old favourite songs. A particularly popular occasion was a meal out with staff and members of the Social Committee at The Halfway House on the Southend Seafront. We look forward to the better weather when some trips in the local area have been arranged and we can all enjoy the warm breeze that blows in off the Thames Estuary. Even now the Cliff Gardens, that are a short walk from the Home, are positively blooming and are a splendid sight to see.
